New Projects

Well I thought I would take a little time, and just create a Time Stamp, for future references of what all I am working on:

- Mountville Mills - Axapta
- Niche Job Web Sites
- Young Adult Book / Interactive Media
- Business Partnership for Skillaid

The above are all work related / revenue driving projects, and items I am working on. I am also working on:

- Studying of Blacksmith work
- Study of Swords and knives
- Study of the Native American Flute
- Reading Stephen Kings: From a Buick 8

And for the family:

- Emily starts Tennis and Cheerleading Practice soon
- Natalie is Starting to get potty trained
- Amy is debating on what she wants to take for college, but she does know at least she wants to take something.

The thing that we should be focused on more:

- The study of the Word, and the study of YHWH God, to better understand his ways, and to be more vigilate in prayer, and focused time for meditation.

Bad dreams: re-visited

Well, it seems as though a change has occured. I please prayer has a lot to do with it. I asked for help for Emily, and guideance for Amy and I, and it seems to have happened with Emily's bad dreams.

You see, I started putting on a pseudo-puppet show. I say pseudo, because it is really a stuffed animal show. I get into character, my favorite being tingo the tiger, and talk away about the day. I ask her questions, and she really get's into it laughing and interacting with Tingo and myself as two different entities. I tell you the power of prayer is great, and I love seeing it in action in my own life.

Well now since the psuedo puppet show has started she has only gotten up once, that's it! She falls to sleep nearly laughing, and having good thoughts. The process works so well, that sometimes in the mornings tingo comes out to help start the day. It's just really inspiring to see that YHWH God, our creator (thank you Creator, thank you Christ) has blessed me with such a wonderful gift of 'connection' with Emily though this new way.

So for anyone who is having to face bad dreams with your children:

(1) Take their feelings serious, don't assume they are doing it just to stay awake.
(2) Hug them, and love them
(3) DO NOT let them sleep with you - it makes them think their Room is causing the bad dreams
(4) Try a pseudo-puppet show out, and really get into the Character of one!

I hope this helps someone out in the future, as the above really helped me... and as always the real number thing to do is Pray!

Bad Dreams Dad

Well, last night I came face to face with Bad Dreams in full affect. Our oldest daughter of about to be 5 years, is having bad dreams. You is so scared of them too. She says she prays, and asks for help with them, and even said "I miss being baby, because when your a baby God and Jesus take the bad dreams away."

She did not say this to me directly, but to my wife who was trying to talk with her. I also tried to talk with her, but at first was more stern than I should have been. I was looking at the clock - thinking she's nearly an hour passed her bed time and she is not going to be good for school tomorrow.

Well, I ended up talker her to sleep - then picked her up and carried her to our bed. During the time I was talking with her, my wife had gotten our youngest daughter up, and was calming her down. So needless to say, we all piled up in the same bed together.

Well during the course of the night, I got to see first hand what my oldest daughter was talking about. She would start crying (not big time, but still) crying and moving around. We would have to wake her up and then she would cry in my wife's arms. She was fine though, and she's always fine in the mornings. So we are trying a few things:

1. No more coke's
2. Changing diet to 60-80% pure organic based foods (healther too)
3. Reading before bed time, for at least 30 min's.
4. Talking to her about her dreams during the day so maybe she can have strength at night.

See I believe we have to give her power, in her mind, for her to be able to turn the nightmares into dreams were she can chase the monsters away. She says she has tried, but is to scared. One thing is for certain, there is an issue for my little girl, and I want her to feel safe and out of harms way at home, in her own bed.

If anyone reads this, of course we would accept prayers for help on this, and any advice that anyone has to offer. I thought it would be something that I could get her over by being stern and making her stay in her bed, and taking her back into her bed when she gets up. This now seems as though I am not addressing the real issue which is her bad dreams.

I just pray and ask for help with this, hoping that I can listen when our creator speaks to me. In Christ name I thank you YHWH for another wonderful day, and for giving me what you have given me... and I pray for Emily's dreams to get better, and guide us so we can help her overcome her nightmares.
