Starting something new

I am wanting to start something new here on Biblerama. In order to help promote the Christian Blogsphere, I am going to attempt a blog-swap and have guest writers from other blogs on here at Biblerama.

The goal is to increase awarness of other Christian bloggers, and also to share knowledge, outlooks, and views on a range of different topics.

To kick this off I will be adding the Haloscan Comments and track back options (hoepfully) soon to this blog.

To start this offically, here is a track back link to the information and stats regarding to the Church of Cornith from He Lives Blog: Track-Back from He Lives on the Church of Cornith.

I Corinthians - Study

This weekin my Survey Class at SCU we are focused on Pauls I Corinthians. One of the good points made is that I Corinthians is not really the first but the II. There was an early epistle wrote by Paul to the Church of Cornith but, history only allowed us a small peice of that work recovered.

So when the New Test. was cannonized, the II and III Corinthians was marked I and II respectivly.

Now this is not my point of focus on this post, but I did want to post that information to give some back ground overview for the following post that will come on this Book.

The concern for this post is when Paul is addressing one of the issues that the Chruch of Corinth was facing. The Fornication of a Step Son and Step Mother. These two were continuing even though they were approached by the Church. Paul goes on to say that fellowship with fornicators should not take place with Christians.
The point I want to address is questioning this, in the sense of the different schools of thought.

On the one hand you want to keep in line what was laid out by the Holy Spirit, and second also keep the commands and lessons of Christ. This is where I am torn. Because (1) Christ said "He who is without sin cast the first stone." (2) I am always been under the impression that we should go to the darkness, with truth and seek out those who are lost and spread the word to them. (3) I also want to find out the true meaning of what Paul meant here and how it should be applied because for years I have always thought the problem with many Churchs is the fact that they do kick people out who are sinners like the rest of us.

So I post this here in hopes to generate thought about this. If you have a response please send it to me: Email me!

Let me add here that the scriptures do not contridicate themselves, rather it is our ignorance as humans that can not fully take in what was meant and how it should be applied. That is why we study and learn!

Still going...

Well Ivan came through last week, and here in Riverside Alabama we survied it. A few people died, mostly in the Bahama area. I hope that everyone is has lost something or someone knows that YHWH God loves you! And that you are all in my prayers and my family;s prayers.

Let's see... SCU is still going good. I am doing the best so far in my money management class and Survey of the New Test. I am currently on the road for a B in my English class. I will be happy with that, but would prefer to make an A.

Natalie, or youngest daughter turned 4 months the 14th of this month, and Emily, well she's now 4 going on 20! She is so smart! Amy my wife is doing really good, and has started school to be an interior decorator. Work is good, and keeps me busy. I am a little worried about the future of the Berry Company. EDS, which runs most of BellSouth's IT services finally got their hands on managing some of our stuff. I figure it will be in about 1-2 years when they totally take over. This of course leaves a grey area for me. I most likely will have a job if that happens, just want be the same great way it is now.

Another thing that I focus on is my school and in what direction to go in. I am currently enrolled as a B.S. in Biblical studies. Since I started taking classes I have since wanted to change to Major in Management Communications, with a Minor in Computer Applications and Biblical Studies. I have narrowed it down to these two degrees. I finally told myself that I would just take it one semster at a time for the next two years, then after two years is up and I was only so far away, I would decide on what to Major in. If anyone reads this I would ask that you would pray for me in this!

As for Biblerama, I feel as if I am not getting enough on here. I know things go through dry spells, plus I have really busy now. But I still plan to stick to a post a week average this year. I know that is a good bit less than the 1 every two days I was able to post last year but change in job and increase in studies have limited my time in being able to post.

All in all, I belive I am doing better in every aspect. I dream of being a more active Christian though, and truly believe my studies is making understand how I can be.

Well I believe that's enbough for now. I will post either some time this week or next. If you have something you would like to talk to me about of would like for me to research with you please write me: email me!

May YHWH God bless you and keep your family safe! In Christ name I ask this! - Amen!

It's been a year for Biblerama!!!

Well it has been one year now for biblerama! I can't believe that is has already been that long...

I know last month I did not write too much. With starting school and other projects going on I have had little time to write. So some updates: My oldest daughter turned 4 years old, my little daughter will be 4 months old this month, my wife has started school again and YHWH has truly blessed this sinner!

Some intersting things, in my New Testemant Class I am really learning a lot. It is a survey class which really let's you look at the NT in a totally new way. I have a authorship paper I have to write in that class in which I will post here after it has been graded!

Well I hope everyone is doing well! It is great to have made it a year, so maybe we will see year two filled with more entires and more topics!

A little side note, over the course of the year I have posted 177 entires. So that equals out to an avg. of about 1 post every other day! Not bad seeing has how March and August did not have that many posts!

Well I pray that YHWH God blesses you all and that you learn to come closer to him!
